It happens that sometimes we forget a password for one of our accounts. Here I will explain how to recover a Gmail password using these simple steps:

1. Go to gmail.com
2. Click on "Need Help? (under the sign in button)
3. Select "I don't know my password" then type in your Gmail address
4. Confirm your email address by clicking on "Yes,continue"
5. It will ask you to enter your password. Since you do not know it, click on "I don't remember"
6. Here you will choose how you want to reset your password either via phone or email.
7. Once you receive your code, type it in where it says "Enter that code here"
8. You will be asked next to enter a new password and confirm it.
9. You have now successfully recovered your password!

I had to do this once a couple of years ago, but then it seemed much harder. How secure is this? Can someone use this process to gain access to your account?

Maybe ask the help service with your phone number and maybe if u send them an ID card or anything else - this can be a possible way, but I am totally not sure if this is going to happen.

I also verify my Google ID with my phone number and it functions very easy.

And I use Google from different IPs, so in my opinion that shouldn't be a or the problem...

Try this out:
1. Open Chrome browser on your mobile
2. Go to Sign in on Chrome
3. There will be several options; choose the email whose password you've forgotten.
4. Click on that account and you'll automatically be signed in on Chrome on that account.
5. Now type in myaccount.google.com on this mobile Chrome browser
6. Go to - Sign in and security
7. Choose account recovery options
8. Enter your mobile number and be sure to do verification by a one-time password
9. Now sign out
10. Now again type gmail.com in the browser and follow the Forgot Password options to recover your password using your mobile number.
Hope this helps

They can't, because you will get the code on the phone number that you have connected to your account, and that is your phone number.

Google used to have a form you could submit asking last few passwords, what services you have signed up for and when you left used them, etc.
Assuming you want that route already? However, I thought it took 5-7 days for them to review those forms?
Either way id go on the OFFICIAL Google Help Forums. Or take a drive to Mountain View?

The tutorial to recover Gmail passwode:
1.Enter web page and tap your Gmail account and go on to click on the "Next" button.

2.Click on the option "Forgot password?".

3.Next, Google will prompt you to enter the last password you remember. But you don't remenberthe old passcode, please choose to tap on "Try a different question".

4.Now Google will send a verification code to the phone number that you have used while signing up for the current Google account.

5.Unlock your phone to get the verification code and enter it in the blank box. Then you are able to change or create a new passcode for your Gmail account.

6.If you have changed your phone number, you should click "I don't have my phone" and enter the recovery email address that you've set up for account security. Then you need to tap on "Send" and login to the email to get the verification code.

7.Supposed that you do not set up a recovery email beforehand, you could choose "Try a different question" to recover your passcode in other ways.

Herewith your Android device you can either changer your password or else you can rest your password.
If you want to Reset,
You will get some confirmation questions, and then they will send you an email.
When prompted you can set up a new password.
And if you are forgotten the mail address you used to sign in,
try to get it from your phone number or else from a recovery mail you have given.

Follow these steps to reset your forgotten Gmail password and recover access to your account.

First, make sure you either have a secondary email address specified for your Gmail account or haven't logged into your Gmail account for five days.

Open Gmail and enter your email address in the space provided. Press Next.

On the Gmail login screen select Forgot password?.

Gmail will now ask a number of questions to try to establish you as the owner of the account.

For each question, enter your answer and select Next. Or, if you don't know the answer to a question, select Try another way.

Once you've established yourself as your account's owner using the steps above, Gmail will log you into the account. If, for security reasons, you want to change your password, follow the Change password link.

Greeting,
Rachel Gomez

Yes, it is, and I can vouch for this, and at long last, I've figured out what my new password is. Thanks!

It's not hard to remember a password, especially if we choose an immediately recognizable element, such as the name of a beloved pet or an interesting fact about yourself. :)

We can use a password manager to store and manage your passwords securely. This will help you remember your passwords and also protect your online accounts from being hacked. (smug)
