Starting a New Chat

Question

I have a long-standing WA chat with Contact 1. I would like to keep that chat, but I would also like to start a completely new chat with Contact 1.

How can I do that without deleting the current chat?

Hey! You can keep your long-standing chat with Contact 1 while starting a new one. Here's how:

Archive the Current Chat:

Press and hold the chat with Contact 1.
Select 'Archive' (usually represented by a box or down arrow icon).
Start a New Chat:

Go to the chat list, and tap the '+' or 'Compose' icon.
Search for and select Contact 1 to start a new chat.
Access Archived Chats:

To view the archived chat, scroll to the bottom of your chat list, find 'Archived Chats,' and tap to access.
This way, you keep both chats separate without deleting anything.

Simply open a new chat with them without deleting the current one. This way, you'll have two separate conversations with Contact 1 – one with the existing chat history and another as a new chat.
