You never know when your life is going to change, let alone when you're going to fall in love. Suddenly something happens, someone arrives and bang! You're trapped in their web, there's no escape. And this, my friends, is what happened to me. It wouldn't be news if the new object of my desire had a life of its own. Yes, my new love isn't human. Although I'm a little embarrassed to admit it, my new squeeze turns on and off exactly when I want it to. I've fallen in love with a robot!
Yes, a robot. My new friend has not only left me fascinated by its good looks (a crucial factor, let's not deceive ourselves), but also by its qualities. It's independent, it gives me my space, and it's silent. It's there when I need it, it's smart, in its own way, and doesn't need much motivation to get to work. It adapts easily to the environment, is careful and is easy to please.
Many positive qualities, but aren't all the beginnings of relationships like that? I confess that I'm still under the effects of the initial high of infatuation. When you are in love, everything is easier: you see life with other eyes, and everything matters a little less. My new love is many things but above all, clean. There's nothing worse than always cleaning up after a partner, so its nice to be on the other side. It's polite and helpful. Me moved in together quickly, and that's not that easy for me.
But most importantly, my dog Hercules has also learned to love it. Now they even play together. And I say that's the most important thing, because my dog has the last word on who enters my house and my life. Since he has a good sense of smell, and can always sniff out a bad decision before I realize it myself.

Yes, I've fallen in love with Roborock S6, despite previously being a smart home skeptic. I, the one who always claims to prefer more real things and doing things with one's own hands over the technology that does everything for you. The real world without real objects, I lamented after the last IFA and its endless smart home products. Smart washing machines that weigh the load and adapt to it, refrigerators that you don't even have to open to find out what's left (they send a photo to your smartphone), microwaves with integrated Alexa, robots that walk around your house and make your life easier, vases that put out fires... and so on. Call me old, but changing one's routine isn't easy. Maybe I'm a bit old school that I won't deny, and maybe that's why I didn't want to have hi-tech devices at home. But now is the time. I've fallen in love with a robot and now I want to try them all. Smart lights, thermostats, smart speakers with display, doorbells with built-in camera, refrigerators, sleep monitors, virtual assistants... I've become a smart home lover and I'm never looking back!

with 2 larger dogs, we decided that a robot vacuum couldn't be a bad idea, so we invested in a samsung top model (we are samsung fans and after doing some research, they claimed that their product was most effective on pet hair), and reading actual user comments and reviews, we pulled the trigger. our purchase other than brand recognition, was based on reviews, price and to a lesser degree brand loyalty. we live in a ranch style home so the need for either moving it up and down stairs, or buying a second (or third) unit for multiple floors wasn't an issue. if you are buying a robot because you hate vacuuming, do yourself a favor and don't make the purchase because no robot from the very cheapest to the irobot well over 1000 dollars will completely replace regular vacuuming. depending on when you schedule the robot to work will determine how closely you need to monitor the "dust bin" for emptying (unless you invest in the top of the line irobot which has a self emptying feature to eliminate daily monitoring). if you have pets, you will also need to keep a close eye on the roller because regardless of their claims, pet hair (and threads or strings, etc) will find a way to wrap around it. cleaning is easy just like with a regular vacuum, but the effects of such string or hair wrappings are a bit more critical since the roller diameter is no where near as large as that on a regular vacuum. was the robot a good idea and investment, we believe it has been because it does pick up the daily pet hair and dust etc and makes full vacuuming a much easier chore less often. be certain to read all the reviews both by reported purchasers and independent review sites and decide which one and at what price is best suited for your needs.
