Android 10 is finally here! The update rolled out to Made by Google Pixel smartphones a little over a week ago and the beta is now starting to trickle onto devices from OnePlus and Nokia too. We asked AP readers if Android 10 is the best version of Google's mobile OS ever made. Here are the results.

It's been a wild ride through the Android versions. I've been on board since Marshmallow and have enjoyed my diet of Nougat, Oreo and Pie since. But the sweet times are over, and Android has matured.

Android 10 represents a new look for Google's mobile OS, not just in name, but in terms of design and connectivity. We wanted to know if you thought it was the best version of Android ever released so far, and many of you answered yes!

Now, I appreciate that not everybody owns a smartphone that has been updated to Android 10 yet. It's often cited as the Achilles heel of Google's platform, that it takes some manufacturer's forever to get the latest version up and running with their own customized interfaces. Yet, the response to our poll speaks for itself. You can see the full result below.

I am on Oreo & knowing Motorola there will be no more updates. I have no issues with Oreo.

If it works for you, then you're okay. You might be able to get Android Pie or 10 from XDA developer to update your Moto phone if you're interested in updating. My two pfennig.

I don't do anything earth shattering on my phone. Talking to people :-) & email will account for 99% of my phone usage. Have a Samsung too, 2011 model which runs Bada OS. That unfortunately I can use only as a phone. No apps available for that.

Well, typically the latest version of Android OS would be considered "the Best" .... but I seriously doubt a majority here have Android OS 10 (I'm more surprised that Android Oreo and Android Pie didn't get more votes! I have a stable version of both on my devices - I'm fine with them!)

That's a great point CJ. I have another Android device that's stuck on Nougat because the manufacturer abandoned it after about 8 to 10 months after release. Guess I could have also voted for Nougat. My two pfennig.

I remember watching a youtube video...some goofy person on the street thing. They took last years iphone, and presented it to passerby types as the NEW iphone to see what people thought of the NEW iphone, not realizing it was the LAST YEARS iphone. The majority of them, said it was the best thing since sliced bread. This "poll" would be about the same.

I will be able to judge only when I get to try it. For the time being I am stuck,as the majority of people I know, with an older version. In my case Oreo. They do not seem to be in any rush to upgrade our phones. Probably expecting us to buy a new one. This game is, sincerely, getting a bit old

Because of signal issues, my Essential PH-1, which is a great device, if the signal (tracfone/at&t...straight talk) didn't drop anytime I went into a building or down a hill, got the update the day the Pixel did. I updated it, and using Nova launcher like I have for years, I couldn't see any "groundbreaking" change.

So I have received the update to Android 10 on my Pixel 2 on launch day and kind of have the same thought as Rusty H. Not seeing any huge change. Except for the New gesture navigation which reminds me of WebOS. I'm using it but am occasionally frustrated by it when it acts in ways I wasn't expecting it to. I'm going to continue using it for now but may change back to the Pie navigation controls. Just my two pfennig.
