Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 — How to setup SD card as an internal storage on SM-T800 Tablet

Hi all!

This tablet has only 16G internal storage, sw version is Marshmallow 6.0.1. I would like to set it up so that the 32G SD card would also work as internal storage. I have been looking hard for the info and founf it for phones but not for this tablet.

It seems that we can't have SD card work as internal storage. :(

that hurts! But thanks for the reply.

I found one setting, which might save some space on the internal memory. For me it looks like it sends some more info to external SD card instead of internal. I`ll see if it helps a little with the space issue. Go to "Settings/Applications/Internet/Advanced/Save content to": this has two optios Device or SD card. select SD card.

I installed HERE and started to download maps. Anyway they seemed to install to the internal storage. Confusing!

I read that AOSP (Android Open Source Project) 6.0.1 Marshmallow ROM has that feature.

I heard that Samsung keep this feature from that phone for some reasons. They said that people prefer to use their SD as place to store their photos and videos rather than using it as adaptive storage.
