I have persons in my address book that are on whatsapp but I cannot add them to my whatsapp. I have tried everything suggested regarding making my contacts viewable. Any suggestions. Perhaps it is something simple I am missing. No problem on my iphone.

Whatsapp - Settings - Contacts,
enable the option - Show all contacts.
In your Whatsapp, you may also refresh contacts list.

ohh!! this is a serious problem, try my idea once
first, reinstall WhatsApp and then try or second goto settings and check the accessibility of contact list.

There is NO option for Show All Contacts i Whatsapp.
