This is not possible by the app, but you can install whatsdeleted app which is available in the play store.

The images was deleted by sender, so it had not downloaded on your phone. As far as I know, there is no images recovery tool can help you recover them.

Maybe the whatsapp images still store in the phone, you can try android recovery tool to scan the phone, if the image store in the phone, you can see and restore them.
