Issue with WhatsApp Calls Going to Silent Mode

Hello,

I am experiencing a troubling issue with WhatsApp. Whenever someone calls me via WhatsApp, my phone automatically switches to silent mode, and I do not hear the ringtone. This issue happens consistently and causes difficulties as I am unable to notice incoming calls.

I have checked the notification settings in WhatsApp, the sound settings on my phone, and I have restarted the device, but the problem persists. I have also ensured that the "Do Not Disturb" mode is disabled. Additionally, I have tried updating and reinstalling the app, but without success.

Could you please assist me in resolving this issue?

Thank you for your support!

Hi!

I totally understand your frustration—I faced a similar issue before, and it was annoying! Here’s what helped me:

Check App Permissions: Make sure WhatsApp has permission to send notifications. Go to your phone’s settings, find WhatsApp, and check the notification settings.

Ringtone Settings: Open WhatsApp, go to "Settings," then "Notifications." Ensure the call ringtone is set correctly.

Volume Levels: Check that your ringer volume is turned up. Sometimes, the media volume can be low.

Safe Mode: Try restarting your phone in safe mode to see if another app is causing the issue. If it works in safe mode, a third-party app might be the culprit.

Clear Cache: Go to your phone’s settings, find WhatsApp under "Apps," and clear the cache (not the data).

System Updates: Make sure your phone’s software is up to date, as updates can fix these issues.

Uninstall Other Call Apps: If you have other apps managing calls, try uninstalling them temporarily.

If you still have trouble after trying these steps, feel free to ask for more help. I know how frustrating it can be, and I hope you get it sorted out soon

Yes, Chase Clay is right this is the only option if you are missing WhatsApp calls. This can be frustrating, especially if your phone switches to silent mode. Start by checking WhatsApp's permissions in your phone settings and ensure the ringtone and media volume are turned up. Verify that call notifications are enabled and not set to silent.

Clear the app's cache and check for updates to your phone's software. Booting your phone into Safe Mode can help identify if a third-party app is causing the issue. Lastly, ensure WhatsApp isn't restricted by battery optimization settings. If the problem continues, consider contacting WhatsApp support for further assistance.
