Poll: which popular messenger is best?

With the arrival of Allo, users now have a whole gamut of messaging apps to choose from: Facebook Messenger, Telegram, Skype, WhatsApp and Allo. Each app offers different advantages and are popular for various reasons. That being said, if all were released on the same day, which one would you choose?

Each one of the main, current messaging apps has distinct features: WhatsApp and Messenger have a considerable advantage over their competitors; Telegram depends on its loyal fan base; while Skype owes a lot to how long it's been on the market and its popularity with PC users.

In this scenario, Google Allo - and its innovative integration of Assistant - is coming for its own piece of the pie and a part of its rivals.

But imagine a hypothetical situation where these five apps were launched on the same day and they all had the same number of users and contact bases from day one.

Plus, you have 24 hours to try them out with all of their resources and restrictions included. Which would you use as your primary means of communication?

This is the small exercise that we're proposing this week. Participate in the poll and leave your opinions in the comments section below.

If they all launched for the first time today, which would you choose? Answer in the poll below.

Which messenger would you choose if all were launched today?

Viber also deserves to be on this list.

After whatsup introduced end-to-end encryption, I think that they are the best in the space for now if we are only talking about messaging.

I would use the one most of my friends are using. It's no use if I've the messenger of my liking without people I could communicate with.

I've voted for Facebook Messenger and two things I like most in this Android Messenger.
First, I can't only add Facebook Friends but also can add people from Phone Book.
Second, It works best with unstable internet connection.
    So, Vote for 'Facebook Messenger'.

Allo is not bad but it lacks many features i.e. contacts online or last seen status, not have free call feature, lacks visible time stamp with each message, no quick reply dialogue screen, cannot support pdf or document sending, in apps drawer no notification numbers on icon, no option to select multiple messages to manage and many more.
WhatsApp is most reliable having all above features and mature app. And also have more control over notifications, data usage, privacy and local backup s.
