The LG Optimus Black was launched in 2011 and was ranked at the time as the "world's thinnest" Android smartphone at only 9.2 mm thick. It has a bright NOVA screen of 4 inches that was brighter than the screens produced by its competitors. The LG Optimus Black also has a 5 MP main camera and a front-facing 2 MP camera. Connectivity allows the use of GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The LG Optimus Black smartphone runs on Android version 2.2 Froyo, upgradeable to Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. It uses the user interface Optimus UI 2.0 and also came in a white version.
