How to remove a phone number from Whatsapp

I have a number in whatsapp that I cannot remove / delete even this number is not listed in the contact list as contact

If you have an unwanted number in WhatsApp that can't be deleted, try these steps:

Check recent chats or group conversations and delete them.
Resynchronize contacts in WhatsApp settings.
Clear WhatsApp cache in your phone's settings.
