cant see channels in whatsapp desktop

I'm on windows 10 and using whatsapp for windows v 2.2401.5.0.
I can't see channels I've joined anywhere in whatsapp desktop. I can see them on my phone. are they hidden somewhere or does whatsapp desktop not support viewing channels?

Because the channel feature is still not available on WhatsApp Desktop app, you can access groups on WhatsApp Desktop but till now not channels. Let's hope they will add this feature soon....

thanks but the whole point of my op was to view channels in whatsapp desktop. I already said I can see channels on my phone

Because the feature is a recent addition, it might not be available for you in whatsapp desktop at the moment.

Currently, WhatsApp Desktop does not support viewing or interacting with Channels like the mobile app does. The Channels feature is still limited to mobile devices (Android/iOS), so even though you can join and see channels on your phone, they are not yet accessible through the Windows or macOS desktop versions of WhatsApp.

You may need to keep checking for updates to WhatsApp Desktop, as Meta could roll out channel support in future updates. For now, you'll need to use your phone for viewing and interacting with any channels you've joined.
