There could be several reasons why your contacts are not showing up in WhatsApp. Here are some possible solutions to try:
Check your phone's contact settings: Make sure that WhatsApp is allowed to access your phone's contacts. On Android, go to Settings > Apps > WhatsApp > Permissions > Contacts. On iPhone, go to Settings > Privacy > Contacts > WhatsApp and make sure that the toggle is turned on.
Refresh your contacts: If you recently added a new contact to your phone, it may take some time for WhatsApp to sync the contact list. Try restarting your phone or force-closing and reopening WhatsApp to refresh your contacts.
Update WhatsApp: Make sure you have the latest version of WhatsApp installed. You can check for updates in the Google Play Store (Android) or the App Store (iPhone).
Check for contact filters: In WhatsApp, go to Settings > Contacts and check if you have any contact filters applied. If so, try removing the filters to see if your contacts appear.
Check your account settings: Make sure that your phone number is properly registered with WhatsApp. Go to Settings > Account > Change Number to check if your number is verified.
If none of these solutions work, try uninstalling and reinstalling WhatsApp. If the problem persists, contact WhatsApp support for further assistance.

If your contacts are not showing in WhatsApp, follow these steps to fix the issue:
Ensure your friend's phone number is in your address book.
Confirm your friend is using WhatsApp.
Update WhatsApp to the latest version if needed.
In your Android phone book, ensure all contact accounts (SIM, Google, Phone) and groups (Friends, Family) are set to "visible."
Try making contacts "not visible" and then "visible" to force a refresh. Launch WhatsApp > Contact list > Menu Button (⋮) > Refresh.
Alternatively, use all your contacts, not just the "visible" ones. Go to Menu Button > Settings > Contacts > Show all contacts.
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue of contacts not appearing in WhatsApp.

There are a few reasons why your contacts might not be showing in WhatsApp. Here are some things you can check:
Make sure that you have granted WhatsApp permission to access your contacts. To do this, open your phone's settings, go to Apps & notifications, tap WhatsApp, and then tap Permissions. Make sure that the Contacts permission is turned on.
Check your internet connection. WhatsApp needs an internet connection to sync your contacts. If you don't have a strong internet connection, your contacts may not sync properly.
Restart your phone. Sometimes, restarting your phone can fix minor issues.
Update WhatsApp. If you are using an outdated version of WhatsApp, there may be a bug that is causing your contacts not to show. Update WhatsApp to the latest version to see if this fixes the issue.
Clear WhatsApp cache and data. This will delete all of the temporary data that is stored in WhatsApp, including your contact list. To do this, open your phone's settings, go to Apps & notifications, tap WhatsApp, and then tap Storage & cache. Tap Clear cache and then tap Clear data.
Reinstall WhatsApp. This will delete the app and all of its data, including your contact list. To do this, open your phone's app store and uninstall WhatsApp. Then, reinstall the app from the app store.
If you have tried all of these things and your contacts are still not showing in WhatsApp, you can contact WhatsApp support for help.
Here are the steps on how to contact WhatsApp support:
Open the WhatsApp app.
Tap the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the screen.
Tap "Help".
Tap "Contact Us".
Choose a category that best describes your issue (e.g., "Contacts not showing").
Follow the prompts to submit your request to WhatsApp support.
WhatsApp support will usually respond to your request within 24 hours.

If your contacts are not showing in WhatsApp, it can be frustrating. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and potentially fix this issue:
Ensure Contact Number in Address Book: Make sure that the contact's phone number is correctly saved in your phone's address book. WhatsApp uses the phone's contact list to populate its contact list.
Confirm WhatsApp Usage: Verify that your friend is indeed using WhatsApp. If they are not using WhatsApp, they won't appear in your WhatsApp contact list.
Update WhatsApp: Ensure that you have the latest version of WhatsApp installed on your device. Outdated versions may have bugs or compatibility issues.
Visibility of Contacts: Check if all your contacts are set to "visible" or "viewable" in your phone's address book settings. In some cases, contacts may be hidden, and WhatsApp won't display them.
Refresh Contacts: Force a refresh of your contacts by making them "not visible" and then "visible" again in your phone's settings. After doing this, open WhatsApp, go to the contact list, and use the refresh option if available.
Show All Contacts: In WhatsApp settings, go to Contacts and select "Show all contacts." This ensures that all contacts, not just the "visible" ones, are displayed in WhatsApp.
If none of these steps work, you may want to refer to the article mentioned for additional solutions or consider contacting WhatsApp support for further assistance.

I looked for this on various websites including youtube and solved it using to try the following steps to address the issue:-
1. Search for WhatsApp:-
-Swipe down on your home screen or swipe right to access the Spotlight Search. Enter "WhatsApp" in
the search bar to see if the app appears in the results. If it does, you can launch the app from there.
2. Check App Library:-
-On iOS, there's an App Library that organizes your apps. Swipe to the right on your home screen to
access the App Library and look for the WhatsApp icon in the appropriate category. Tap on the icon
to open the app.
3. Restart Your iPhone:-
-A simple restart might refresh your home screen and resolve the issue. Turn off your iPhone, wait a
few seconds, and then turn it back on.
4. Check Restrictions:-
-Ensure that the app isn't restricted on your device. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy
Restrictions > Allowed Apps and make sure WhatsApp is allowed.
5. Reinstall WhatsApp:-
-If you still can't find the WhatsApp icon, you can try reinstalling the app. Go to the App Store, search
for WhatsApp, and download it again. This won't delete your chat history as it is associated with
your account.
