WhatsApp gets animated emoticons [Beta]
After last week’s WhatsApp update which finally allows you to hide your ‘Last Seen’ status, new animated emoticons are being brought to your chat in a beta phase. It's only the very beginning, but we are already getting quite excited.
This is the red heart and although it can’t be seen in this picture, it actually beats and is considerably larger.
The main problem is that although you install the APK of this new version, recipients of your message won’t see the heart in movement, nor the real size. But when they send a red heart (and assuming that there will be other animated emoticons in the future), you will be able to see the image in movement without them even knowing it. I’m certain there will more in the near future, and that this test run will make a lot of people super excited, so keep your eyes peeled!
